SDRadio

SDRadio is a nice little software that sports a unique look. And many of us hope that Alberto will come back to it from time to time to upgrade it. It appears to like faster PC's though, so if you have under 1 GB of CPU speed this might not work well for you.

Anyways this is really a nice software and should be kept on hand for the pleasure of it's use.

In addition Alberto has Winrad which is under development at this time. Winrad is a more advanced project of Alberto's that has a very nice scientific look to it. Anyways people utilize Winrad with their SDR hardwares and even people who use commercially made SDR hardware with it's own software still like to use Winrad with their set up.

It is un~telling what Alberto might pull out in the future for us to use in the SDR software department.

At Alberto's site http://www.weaksignals.com you can download SDRadio and Winrad, there is a special download of Winrad for Windows 98 users there so look for it if you are using Windows 98.

At Alberto's site he also has some unique radio test software such as a two tone generator and audio baseband spectrum analyzer called T Cube and a unique digital mode communications interface for weak signal communications via text called Jason. Jason is not well known in some circles but is something I believe has a future in many areas of radio. Even for use in CB Radio. It is sort of like a chat room interface and so you might like Jason.
